PILOT Nights

Pippa was a Co-Director of PILOT Nights for 10 years. PILOT Nights provided a space where theatre-makers can develop their work and try out new ideas in front of a lively and supportive crowd; the pieces presented were all works-in-progress. PILOT Nights was supported by Arts Council England and The Sir Barry Jackson Trust

Open to artists from across the UK, PILOT Nights took place in venues across the West Midlands. Each event was programmed and managed by a Co-Pilot, in conjunction with the core PILOT Nights team. Co-Pilots were practicing artists with an interest in producing/curating. Having a different Co-Pilot for each event ensured the programme remained diverse and exciting, and placed artists at the heart of PILOT Nights. In 2022 PILOT Nights came to an end after 20+ glorious years of serving the region.
