Stephanie Ridings Wins Bite Size Commission

Stephanie is an Artist I have an ongoing relationship with after producing her hit show Unknown Male in January this year. On the 2nd of May 2015 she presented a 20 minute extract from a brand new work: The Road to Huntsville as part of the First Bite platform run by China Plate and it's partners mac birmingham and Warwick Arts Centre. We are delighted China Plate have offered her one of two commission that come out of the First Bite platform. It will see the project commissioned by China Plate, mac birmingham and Warwick Arts Centre, as well as continuing to be supported by Birmingham REP. The Road to Huntsville will explore a range of themes including issues surrounding the death penalty,

Francesca Millican-Slater is artist in residence at The National Waterways Museum

Earlier this year The National Waterways Museum won funding to host an Artist in Residence, and Francesca is delighted to be working with them.
